Moea & Walkirie

Moea is an Australian FEI level rider/trainer based in Florida USA and has trained with top FEI coaches from Australia, Germany, Poland and the USA, taking several horses to FEI level. She is a member of the USEF, USDF and EFA.

Born in Brisbane Australia, Moea has Franco-Australian nationality and is fully bilingual. As Moea grew up, her father’s work, as an international Surveying Engineer led to the family moving around the globe and experiencing many different cultures. A student of the Lycee Bellevue Toulouse, in the South of France, Moea attained her degree in Philosophy and Languages.

At a young age Moea knew she wanted to become a top level Dressage rider. She was fortunate to ride in France as a child, but Australia is where it all began. Like most Aussie kids, she started riding ponies, eventing, show jumping and trail riding at a young age. At the age of 16, Moea had her first dressage lesson. Once she bought her first Warmblood, she never looked back. Moea was featured on the NSW Talent Squad, won and placed in numerous competitions, receiving many top scores and young rider awards. Australia’s remoteness from International competition and the quarantine time for horses returning to the country is very long. Moea decided her best chance to become an international competitor was to leave Sydney and relocate overseas. Florida USA is as good as it gets!

Along with her husband Dane, and daughter Arielle, she flew Claude, her FEI level horse, over from Australia whom she trained from a 3 year old. Shortly afterwards, Claude sadly became ill.
Moea is now working her way to the top on her two young mares; Walkirie a 2002 Wolkentanz (Weltmeyer-Prince Orac/Grande), and First Class (Furst Heinrich by Florestan/Calypso).
Through hard work and dedication, Moea hopes to be selected for the Australian Olympic Dressage Team one day.
